Information overload management as a network marketer or online marketer is key if you are to ensure ANY success with your business.
As you are well aware, the primary reason why 97% of all marketers (online and offline) fail is because they fail to do any information overload management.
This is a real problem for many, many people because they are enticed and lured in by all the bright “shiny new object” products that are out there.
Information Overload Management
Information overload management for marketers begins with knowing what exactly you want. For many of us (and I am guilty of this too!) is that we don’t question ourselves.
We don’t have a motive. We don’t have a reason. We don’t have a plan!
And that is what screws us up big time. And I mean BIG TIME!
In an earlier post titled Information Overload Effects, I list 3 reasons why people fail to take action on information overload management.
Here they are again as a refresher:
- Bonuses
- Upsells
- Emails
While this is all relevant to your discovery, a few items about information overload management with this marketing system carry more weight than others. However, the bottom line is how you want to use it, and how much of it will impact your situation. As you know, there is even more to the story than what is offered here. The balance of this read holds much more that will help your specific situation. Even after what is next, we will not quit there because the very best is but to come.
Information Overload Management – Cut The Clutter
Cutting the unnecessary GARBAGE — and I mean garbage! — is the key to your information overload management. I am sure that your computer, like mine, is filled to the brim with ebooks, .zip files and more promising us how to jump on to the “next best thing” in “xyz” marketing…
Your key to information overload management is knowing what the BS is and cutting the crap out of your life. Trust me, you’ll be SO GLAD that you did because now you can FOCUS on your real goal which is to build your business properly.
So what steps do you need to take in your information overload management?
Information Overload Management – Don’t Do Bonuses
Well for starters, the 3 most common ways that your time is sucked up is with the list above.
- Bonuses – I am going to raise my hand here and let you know that I am guilty of this. I have previously bought products solely on the bonuses offered to me…
In a real life example, bonuses are something that provide ADDITIONAL value. If you have been enticed by slick marketing, then you know what I mean. The key to information overload management is to further your education.
So if you researched a product and bought it for it’s merits then you should be proud! You did your due diligence and made a key business decision!
If you bought a product because you were offered a “bonus” that was worth $xyz dollars, then you didn’t really do your homework.
Your information overload management begins with sound business decisions. DON’T buy a product because you will get a “KILLER” bonus.
And DON’T buy to simply “maximize” your purchasing power. Trust me! All you’re doing with this is maximizing what you owe to your credit card company!
Information Overload Management – “No Thanks” Kill The Upsell
- Upsells – These are notorious for sucking your wallet and credit rating dry!
It’s not worth it at all and you know deep within you that information overload management is fine tuned by implementing this.
Is the upsell at all RELATED to the product? Does it ENHANCE the value of the original product that you researched and paid for?
If not, trash the upsell!
Hopefully it is clear that you can use these easy ideas when you have a use for them.
The important point as it concerns information overload management with this marketing system is you have to make sure you get not only information you need, but it has to be the right information. It is easy to find inaccurate and misleading information on the net. In our experience, most are very honest and try to put out strong content. However, there are some important pieces of information that no one should be lacking.
Information Overload Management – Get Unsubscribed
- Emails – How many lists are you on? How many lists are you on that you wanted to be on?
Some marketers will force you to join their list simply to download your product. In my books, this is unethical and will not resonate strongly with your customer.
Also, do you need to be on so many lists? Information overload management will give you a chance to go through your emails and focus on the lists that provide you value.
No one needs more clutter in their inbox. Least of all a busy and success internet marketer like you!
